What categories may I enter for?

Choose the one you think is most appropriate. If in doubt please email us to ask. Most loyalty programs and initiatives are distinct from either co-brand/ancillary/merchandising, but there are some overlaps.

What's new for 2019?

The Mega Awards are to recognise excellence in three areas covered by the Mega Event. These are Loyalty, Ancillary Revenue Generation & Merchandising and Co-brand Cards. This year there is one award per category and you can enter if you or your company has introduced new products or services during the year that you feel would be worthy of recognition. These can be innovations like the wifi app from United Networks or the a marketing campaign like AirAsia Big's "Final Call Sale" in the co-brand category. Another previous winner, Caesars Entertainment won for their "Total Social Rewards" in the loyalty area. You can check out previous winners by clicking here.

What are the judges looking for?

The judges are looking for products and services that have been introduced in the year leading up to October 2019. These can be totally new innovations, upgrades to existing products or a new approach to doing business in any of the areas of covered by the awards (Loyalty, Ancillary/Merchandising and Co-brands.) It could be a highly successful marketing campaign - either direct to consumers, the trade or even internal staff awareness/training. The judges are looking for solid, hard facts/results to back up the entry, so that the winners are recognised as truly excelling in their category.

What is the closing date for entries?

Closing date for entries is midnight Eastern Daylight Time on Friday 14th of October 2019.

Can I submit a written entry?

You must enter via the online forms below. We don't accept emailed entries.

What information do I need to complete an entry?

The entry forms are very straight foward. You need to provide some basic information about who is submitting the entry and which company you are nominating. You then need to provide information about the entry, along with supporting evidence as to why it should win. You may nominate your own company or another company you feel deserving of a Mega Award. If you want to see a sample of what information you need to enter in Word format please click here and to see it in PDF format click here

Who is on the judging panel?

Check out the tab on this website for "Judging Academy" to see who this year's judges are.

How do the judges decide?

Each category (Loyalty, Ancillary Revenue/Merchandising and Co-Brands) has a Chief Judge who will provide a shortlist of three entries for the judging panel. Judges are looking for hard facts to support the entry and award points based soley on your submission. They award 1 point for the entry they think is the best, 2 for the 2nd best and 3 for the third. The winning entry is the one with the lowest number of votes. In the event of a tie, the Chief Judge has the deciding vote.

Who is given the winners trophy?

If you submit an entry on behalf of a client, then it is your client that will be awarded the trophy. However, if you enter in your own company name to be recognised for work that may have been delivered for a client, then the winners trophy will be awarded to you and not your client.  There are additional related details on the actual entry form.

When will the awards be presented and how do I attend them?
The Mega Awards will be presented on the evening of Wednesday the 30th of October, 2019 at a ceremony sponsored by Avis-Budget Group at the 2019 Mega Event. Entry to the awards is part of the a delegate pass to Mega Event 2019 and you can register for the 2019 Mega Event here.
